Rangers closing in for Steven Davis

The Rangers are closing in a permanent move for Fulham midfielder Steven Davis, according to his agent.

The Northern Ireland international should be sold by Fulham after his impressive loan spell at Ibrox in the second half of last season.

Rangers could face opposition from clubs in the Barclays Premier League but Davis has spoken of his desire to continue playing for the heroes of his childhood.

The 23-year agent, Rob Segal, told BBC Sport: "I think that clubs take the floor this week and there is a desire to make the trip.

"Fulham are ready to listen to offers because they include Steven needs to play regular football at his age."
