Dario Simic insist chance to play in Old Firm
AC Milan defender Dario Simic insists on the possibility of playing in an Old Firm derby would have made a rebuff to move to Galatasaray in favour of accession Celtic.
The 32-year-old Croatia international is to leave San Siro and was briefed on the side of Parkhead.
Simic told the Daily Record, he favoured a move to Glasgow on a new departure for Turkey.
He said: "Galatasaray want to join them and I want Celtic.
"If I could choose, there is no doubt I prefer to join Celtic.
"They are a great club with an amazing culture of football and there is nothing more exciting than the prospect of playing in a derby against Glasgow Rangers.
"I am talking about the situation in Milan and hoping a move can take place.
"My desire is to play outside Italy next season.
"I've been here a long time, with Inter and AC Milan and I want to try a new league."
