George Boateng expect both sides Old Firm approach him
Middlesbrough midfielder George Boateng expects both sides of the old company to approach him this summer.
The 32-year-old midfielder wanted to talk to both Rangers and Celtic in January, but was rejected by Boro manager Gareth Southgate.
The Dutch, who played under Celtic manager Gordon Strachan at Coventry, was stripped of the Captaincy in January and now expects to leave the Riverside.
He told the Scottish Sun: "Before the transfer window opened five clubs are seriously interested in me. Two clubs in Scotland and you can guess who they are.
"I wanted to talk to these clubs, but Southgate does not allow it. I am very unhappy about this.
"The situation is difficult, but my time at Middlesbrough is at an end.
"I told both Glasgow clubs will return for me this summer."
